Liam finally ripped the power cord from the laptop. The screen went black.
Page 47 was blank. He had never used it. But now, pixel by pixel, a flipchart page was drawing itself. A diagram of a human heart. But the labels were wrong. Where "Aorta" should be, it said "LIAM'S DESK." Where "Ventricle" should be, it said "HALLWAY CLOSET."
The board was showing him himself , sitting at his desk in the dark, staring at his laptop.

The software didn't show his text. Instead, it responded:
