The film tries to cram the first three volumes of the manga (plus elements from later arcs) into two hours. As a result, the romantic subplot with Hugo feels rushed, the villain Vector is underutilized, and the ending is not a climax but an abrupt cliffhanger. Nova, the big bad, appears only via hologram, leaving the final scene feeling like a trailer for a sequel that hasn’t been greenlit.
