Aris paused the video. His hands trembled. He remembered last Tuesday—he’d cleaned out his Drive, deleting 200 GB of old project backups. Old tax forms. A corrupted video from his brother’s wedding. He clicked

"You deleted your wedding video on June 14. We received it here. We watched it. It was beautiful. But you also deleted a file named ‘budget_2024.xlsx.’ That was not a budget. In our world, that was a launch code. And someone in your timeline just used it." Aris paused the video

The video showed a man who looked exactly like him—same crooked tooth, same coffee stain on his gray t-shirt—standing in the exact same spot. But the room was reversed. The books on the shelf behind him had mirrored titles. The clock on the wall ran counterclockwise. The man in the video leaned toward the camera, exhausted, and whispered:
