One such emerging but unsubstantiated claim circulating in online forums suggests a link between the Mughal Empress Jodhaa Bai (popularized by the 2008 Bollywood film Jodhaa Akbar ) and Kurdish identity. This paper systematically deconstructs this hypothesis by analyzing the historical and ethnographic records of 16th-century South Asia and West Asia.
