DOSBox sees this as a hard drive folder. It won't look for MSCDEX there.

If you are seeing this error, don't panic. You aren't missing a physical disc, and your computer isn't broken. You are just missing a virtual middleman.
Don't just mount the folder. Mount it as a CD-ROM ( -t cdrom ). It takes three extra keystrokes and saves you an hour of googling. mscdex driver not installed dosbox
